The Israeli military announced that it has carried out strikes on Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeidah in retaliation for attacks by the Houthi group, reports Al Jazeera on July 20th.
The Ministry of Health, operating in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, reported that the Israeli strikes resulted in three deaths and 87 injuries, many with severe burns. The death toll has since risen to six.

Israeli air raids on Saturday, July 20th, came a day after the Houthis claimed responsibility for a drone attack that left one person dead and 10 others injured in Tel Aviv.
On Sunday, July 21st, Houthi military spokesman General Yahya Saree announced in a televised address that the group had launched an attack on the Israeli port city of Eilat using several ballistic missiles. He stated that the operation had “achieved its goals successfully”.
