Iraq and Jordan: Decline to Sign Joint Communiqué on Ukraine

Iraq and Jordan withdrew their signatures from the joint communiqué of the Global Peace Summit, resulting in 78 countries backing the document aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine, UNN reports on June 16th.

Switzerland has released a list of countries endorsing the joint communiqué, with Iraq and Jordan now refusing to sign. This was reported by the Swiss government, says UNN.

The joint communiqué from the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland outlines specific objectives agreed upon by participants to promote peace in Ukraine. These include ensuring the safe utilization of nuclear energy, preventing attacks on civilian infrastructure, releasing all prisoners of war, and repatriating illegally deported Ukrainian children.
