According to Middle East Monitor, Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles at Israel on Tuesday, October 1st, in response to Israel’s operations targeting Tehran’s Hezbollah allies in Lebanon.
Sirens blared across Israel, and explosions echoed in Jerusalem and the Jordan River valley as residents rushed into bomb shelters. State television reporters were seen lying flat on the ground during live broadcasts.

Earlier, the military warned that any ballistic missile strike from Iran would likely be extensive and urged the public to seek shelter in safe rooms if an attack occurred. The warning comes as Iran has vowed to retaliate after strikes killed senior leaders of its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon.
The missile launches followed Israel’s announcement that its forces had carried out ground raids into Lebanon, which it described as limited operations. The Israeli campaign in Lebanon marks the most significant escalation of regional conflict since the outbreak of hostilities in Gaza a year ago.
In Washington, President Joe Biden stated that the United States is ready to support Israel in defending against Iranian missile attacks:
We discussed how the United States is prepared to help Israel defend against these attacks, and protect American personnel in the region.
