Moche Avichzer faces accusations of participating in human rights violations during Israeli military operations in Gaza, where over 41,000 Palestinians were reportedly killed. Analysts warn that the trial could put a strain on Morocco’s relations with Israel, which were normalized in 2020 and have since involved military cooperation agreements. Human rights organizations have urged the international community to hold Israeli military personnel accountable for alleged war crimes, suggesting that Morocco’s legal action could set a significant precedent for such efforts.
